Manuel Antonio, Dominical and Jacó (Central Pacific Beaches)


Very convenient destinations at only one hour to Jacó and threehours to Manuel Antonio from Juan Santamaría International Airport, this area is the favorite for weddings, it has very convenient access but is also very natural and charming.

Manuel Antonio is a small town built on the hills surrounded by the jungle with breathtaking ocean views. As it is in the tropical humid forest the area is always green, the sand is white the water is always warm.

There you will find many hotels with good restaurants for wedding receptions and if we talk about budges is a must saying that they go from yummy affordable to fancy expensive….

Having so many options to caver any budget is pretty convenient for you and your guests!

Dominical Beach is only 30 minutes more to the south, but here options can be group in two categories the ones with a simple organic concept and on the other hand resorts with deluxe boutique style.

Jacó is closer to San José, maybe because of it, there is usually more people having fun around. The sand there is very dark almost totally black, that can be a very nice contrast for your photos. If you are the type of person looking for night activity, surf and a more relax ambiance maybe this area could be the best option for you. Beaches and dry forest  of north Pacific: Guanacaste


This area is well known for its long beaches and unforgettable sunsets.

Budgets here are not an issue. This area is so big that options are uncountable. Here you will find deluxe big chain resorts, family hotels, small deluxe boutique places and even small cabins with basic but nice and cozy services.

Incredible beaches will be the perfect scenery to frame your special event. One of the most popular spots in this area are: Tamarindo well known for the amazing waves to surf and its golden sand, Nosara very popular as a yoga community. Flamingo secluded beach with white sand where every afternoon the sun offers remarkable sunsets.

Nicoya Península: Montezuma, Santa Teresa, Mal País


With isolated and relaxed beaches and small towns, here you will experience a very earthy and bohemian feeling.

Getting to the Nicoya Peninsula is a bit of a trip but this could be taken as part of the adventure while visiting a tropical country. The travel from San Jose to Puntarenas takes about an hour and a half drive, depending on traffic. Then from Puntarenas you should take a very scenic ferry ride that longs about one hour. The ferry gets to Paquera (small fishing town) and then you must be prepare for a two hour drive to the Santa Teresa/Mal País area.

Being there you will fill yourselves as out of the world, literally in a small piece of paradise. Small hotels are all over around, offering different styles and prices. Restaurants are abundant and all of them offer great local and/or international cuisine, with very fresh and own harvested products.

Rain Forest and Mountain: La Fortuna, Sarapiquí, San Ramón, Monteverde and Central Valley
