Where in Costa Rica

Nicoya Península: Montezuma, Santa Teresa, Mal País

With isolated and relaxed beaches and small towns, here you will experience a very earthy and bohemian feeling.

Getting to the Nicoya Peninsula is a bit of a trip but this could be taken as part of the adventure while visiting a tropical country. The travel from San Jose to Puntarenas takes about an hour and a half drive, depending on traffic. Then from Puntarenas you should take a very scenic ferry ride that longs about one hour. The ferry gets to Paquera (small fishing town) and then you must be prepare for a two hour drive to the Santa Teresa/Mal País area.

Being there you will fill yourselves as out of the world, literally in a small piece of paradise. Small hotels are all over around, offering different styles and prices. Restaurants are abundant and all of them offer great local and/or international cuisine, with very fresh and own harvested products.
